Malacca, 29 September– The winners of the third edition of Southeast Asian International Short Film Festival (SeaShorts)
were announced during the closing ceremony, which took place at the Panggung Bangsawan, Malacca today. The festival’s competitive segments include SeaShorts for regional entries across ASEAN was awarded to Indonesia’s ‘Ballad of Blood and Two White Buckets’ by Yosep Anggi Noen meanwhile Amanda Nell Eu’s ‘Vinegar Bath’ emerged as another victor in the Next New Wave competition that honours original and inventive works from Malaysian aspiring filmmakers. Organized by Next New Wave from Sept 25-29 with the support of National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (FINAS) for its international Masteclass programs, CEO of FINAS, Mr. Ahmad Idham Ahmad Nadzri in his congratulatory remarks to two recepients of FINAS Most Promosing Filmmaker Award; Loh Din-Yung and Jeremy Emang Jecky has emphasized on the importance of empowering young aspiring filmmakers as for their intrinsic contributions towards creating a vibrant industry as well as unlocking the potential in telling great stories in new and diverse ways.
