Big congratulations to Malaysian documentary filmmakers, Nadira Ilana and Aminda Faradilla Omar whose projects have been selected for the first phase of IF/Then Shorts Pitch Competition organized by Tribeca Film Institute in collaboration with Docs by the Sea. 17 short documentary projects focusing on Southeast Asia by the respective filmmakers will participate in the IF/Then Story Development Lab in Jakarta scheduled from 4-6 May 2018. Through a competitive process, IF/Then identifies and supports original, standalone short documentaries up to 40 minutes in length by filmmakers working regionally and representing their communities.
